Instructions for Application:
- Pad Preparation: Carefully separate the hook-and-loop fasteners securing the 2-inch and 1-inch belts to the back of the detachable Trico pad, ensuring the pad remains intact.
- Pad Application: Wrap the pad around the subject's wrist or ankle, overlapping End A over End B. The integrated hook-and-loop fasteners will create a secure closure.
- Rail Attachment (Primary Securing): Position the secured wrist or ankle against a rail or other stationary object. Wrap the remaining 2-inch belt under the rail and back onto the restraint, engaging the hook-and-loop fasteners for a tight seal.
- Locking Clip Securing (Secondary Securing): Thread the 1-inch belt through the locking alligator clip. Fold the remaining belt tail back onto itself, and firmly press the hook-and-loop fasteners together.
- Enhanced Security (Optional Tertiary Securing): For increased security beyond the clip, tie a knot in the remaining belt tail after threading it through the clip.
- Restricted Movement (RIMR-200 Application): When using the RIMR-200, apply the wrist restraints as described above. Then, loop the additional 1-inch belt around a fixed object, such as a bed rail. Thread the belt end through the clip and adjust the length to provide the desired range of motion. For enhanced security, finish by tying a knot with the remaining belt tail after going through the clip.
