We recommend the use of CLP-4 to protect all blued (black) handcuffs. The addition of a thin coat of oil to the surface of your black handcuffs will add another layer of protection from the elements. Blued handcuffs have more of a tendency to oxidize than nickel plated or stainless steel handcuffs.
